Ancient Egyptian faience shabti figure made between the Late Period - Ptolemaic Period (664 BC - 30 BC) in Egypt. Known also as ushabti or ushebti, figure depicts mummiform in a beautiful natural blue colour. It keeps ancient tools with arms folded at the chest, has a false Osirian beard and a tripartite wig. Artifact has undergone a professional cleaning process without removing originally preserved mineral deposits from its surface. * Shabtis played a very significant role in ancient Egyptian culture. Egyptians believed that such figures placed in tombs of deceased will serve that person in the afterlife by performing assigned tasks.
