This Japanese wooden stationery box (文箱 / Fubako) is crafted using the traditional Aizu-nuri (会津塗) lacquerware technique. It features a decorative maki-e design of clematis flowers (鉄線花 / Tessenka). The flower petals are finished with kinsenji (gold pear-skin texture), applied selectively to create a subtle golden effect depending on the light.
