This finely cast bronze okimono depicts a Japanese peasant girl, captured in a moment of quiet movement as she carries a small metal teapot. The figure is modelled with naturalistic detail — from the wrapped headscarf and layered kimono to the bare feet and gentle shift of weight — characteristic of high-quality Meiji-period craftsmanship.
