Biography Nishigaki Daido (1942-?) Born in Hyogo Prefecture in 1942. Received ordination under Nishigaki Soko in 1950, entered the monks' hall at Daitoku Sodo and later moved to Shokoku Sodo. Completed a master's degree at the Graduate School of Bukkyo University in 1976. In 1978, became the abbot of Mannenzan Gokuraku Zenji of the Daitokuji sect in Hyogo. Also known as a calligrapher, he produced many scrolls and inscriptions for tea settings.

Born in Hyogo Prefecture in 1942.
Received ordination under Nishigaki Soko in 1950,
entered the monks' hall at Daitoku Sodo and later moved to Shokoku Sodo.
