This mask has the characteristic features of Bamún art: puffed cheeks, large eyes surrounded by white in deep sockets, a large nose, protruding ears, and an open mouth with white teeth arranged in two rows. The hairstyle is very fanciful, with zoomorphic motifs, royal and divinatory symbols, sculpted in a schematic form. These masks are made to be worn on the head, with the dancer concealed by a mesh hood and underneath a dress with brightly colored designs.
