A finely cast Viking bronze amulet with integral suspension loop. The body is formed in an openwork trefoil/quatrefoil design with three rounded lobes surrounding a central void. Amulets such as this were worn by Viking men and women for protection and as symbolic ornaments. The trefoil design may have carried spiritual or magical significance, linked to fertility, protection, or the representation of tripartite symbols common in Norse art.
