4 damask linen napkins with M.M. initials. What they lack on damask background they gain on beautifully choreographed initials. Normally initials are straight and vertical whereas these are "bowing" to each other indicating that they were most probably a wedding gift to the newly wed couple and the two small branches intertwined re assure this. The damask background is the simple "chessboard " design. They are framed with the always popular Greek key design. Please note that there are a further 6 similar napkins in this auction. The napkin is still slightly off white and due to them rarely being used to deck the table. After a few washes they will turn white.
