A good size ceramic charger plate, measuring circa 25,8cm in diameter and weighing 649g, decorated in polychrome tin glaze pigments to depict a rooster among fruits and flowers, the rim modeled with a band of 31 round indentations, each outlined with a manganese circle. Most likely Delft but possibly London / Bristol, circa 1750-1785. Condition: One significant hairline (stabilized), the plate still rings like a bell. This lot will be carefully packaged and sent by registered and insured mail.
