古埃及 极为罕见的三部分安硬石献祭花瓶 - 3.5 cm

This small Egyptian vase, carved from anhydrite, is a refined example of Middle Kingdom craftsmanship. Its compact size and precision of finish suggest that it was used as a container for precious substances, possibly ointments, perfumes or oils used in religious rituals or embalming practices. The vessel has a globular shape with a slightly narrow base, giving it stability despite its small size. Its surface is smoothly polished with tonal variations typical of the material, highlighting the natural beauty of the stone. The lid, made from a combination of materials, consists of two superimposed discs: one of anhydrite, light in tone and smooth in texture, and another of a dark material, possibly basalt, providing an elegant visual contrast. The presence of a tight-fitting lid indicates that the vessel was designed to preserve its contents from evaporation or contamination, an essential feature in vessels used to store valuable substances in Ancient Egypt. Its sober but functional design suggests belonging to the funerary or aristocratic sphere, where this type of vessel was part of the grave goods, ensuring that the deceased had access to essential elements in the afterlife. The state of preservation is exceptional, maintaining its intact structure and well-defined details despite its age. The combination of materials and the quality of the carving make it a piece of great archaeological and artistic interest, reflecting the sophistication of Egyptian craftsmen in the treatment of stone. This vessel is a testimony to the importance of objects for personal and ritual use in Egyptian culture, as well as their mastery in the creation of stone vessels for practical and symbolic purposes. Acquired from a French private collection, O.L in the 70's. - The piece includes authenticity certificate. The Seller can prove that the lot was obtained legally. Important information. The seller guarantees that he is entitled to ship this lot. The seller will take care that any necessary permits will be arranged, this process can take between 2 and 4 weeks. IMPORTANT: Due to the new laws on the export of archaeological pieces, we have decided to NO LONGER sell outside the European territory for the following countries: SWITZERLAND & UNITED STATES of AMERICA. For other destinations out of European territory: all our items will be shipped after obtaining a definitive LICENSE EXPORTATION by the Ministry of Culture of Spain.
