Tapio Wirkkala designed this pendant in 1974,
for Finnish Kultakeskus.
It is called Villisian hammas, Boar's tooth.
The tooth pendant measures 3,3 x 3,5 cm weight 24gr and the earrings width of the decorative part: 15mm. Height of the decorative part: 19mm with hooks 35mm. weight 3gr
The hallmarks are on the ends of the jewelry (925) and a lion (Kultakeskus Oy).
The jewelry comes in its original box and includes a presentation booklet from Mr. Tapio Wirkkala.

The chain is a The Varia Design Thor silver necklace is made of silver-colored stainless steel. The necklace is 55 cm long and 3 mm thick and it goes very well with this piece of jewelry even though it is not original.
The master of Finnish design, the artist Tapio Wirkkala (1915-1985) was an expert in handling and designing the most diverse raw materials and objects of use and art. During his most intensive creative period, which lasted more than thirty years, Tapio Wirkkala designed more than 600 silver, bronze and pewter products, many of which survived as design classics and are still part of the Gold Center's selections as a kind of foundation.
For his design work, Tapio Wirkkala received plenty of recognition both at home and abroad, e.g. numerous Grande Premios in triennials in many different years and the gold medal of the President of Italy in the Faenza international ceramics competitions in 1967-1973. Tapio Wirkkala received an honorary doctorate from the Royal College of Art in London in 1971. He was invited to become an honorary member of the English Goldsmiths' Guild in 1971.
He was awarded the title of academician in 1972.
