The Ichiro Ueda wines, IECHI estate, are strongly influenced by his work with Takahiko Soga of the Takahiko estate. As a Takahiko estate, the project focuses on Pinot Noir (with a small amount of Pinot Grigio) and the only addition at any time is a small amount of SO2.
For this vintage, the climate of the 2022 vintage is no longer fresh, with a cumulative effective temperature of 1463.5°C according to the estate weather station. The table grape harvest volume was half that of previous years due to the drooping (falling flowers) at the beginning of spring and ripe rot.
