大型Neo Chrysanthemum Stone(Suiseki)- 来自岐阜的自然花纹,带底座 - 20世紀早期(一戰期)
A beautiful and authentic example of a traditional Japanese Suiseki (viewing stone), this specimen is a natural Chrysanthemum Stone (Kikumatsu-ishi) originating from the famous Neo region in Gifu Prefecture. Highly regarded by collectors worldwide, stones from Neo are celebrated for their natural celestine or calcite inclusions that form stunning, flower-like patterns resembling blooming chrysanthemums—the symbol of the Japanese Imperial family.
This specific stone features several clearly defined, vibrant white "blooms" that stand out against a rich, dark matrix. The stone has been masterfully polished to a smooth finish to highlight its natural geological elegance while maintaining its organic, mountain-like form.
The stone is paired with a custom-carved dark wooden display stand (daiza), specifically fitted to its base to enhance its presentation as a focal piece for interior decor, a Zen garden, or a private mineral collection.
Specifications:
Dimensions: Approximately 13 cm x 14 cm x 4.5 cm.
Weight: Approximately 998 g (including the display stand).
Origin: Neo region, Gifu Prefecture, Japan.
Estimated Production Era: While the mineral itself formed over millions of years, this specific polished display piece and its custom stand were prepared in the late 20th Century (Showa Era).
Condition: The stone is in excellent condition with a high-quality polish. The natural floral patterns are sharp and well-distributed across the surface. The wooden stand shows minor vintage wear consistent with age, which adds to its authentic character. Please review the provided images to appreciate the intricate natural textures.
