This is the signature of Ugo Zaccagnini, an Italian ceramicist from the mid-20th century, which was used on various collectibles: Ugo Zaccagnini (1868–1937) founded the Zaccagnini company in Florence in 1905. The company produced a wide range of artistic ceramics, from animal figurines and vases to lamps and decorative plates. Their pieces are popular collectors' items today, especially those from the Art Nouveau and mid-century periods.
The plates are not chipped, but some of the edges are missing a little paint,
