INDIGO STRIPE KIMONO 日本蓝色藍染 - 棉 - 日本 - 昭和年代(1926-1989)
Japan has a history of the development of indigo dyeing because the common people restricted themselves to kimonos of gorgeous colors.
Therefore, people used indigo dyeing to create a variety of patterns, dyeing methods, and weaving techniques.
Japanese indigo-dyed cloth develops a variety of colors over time that cannot be achieved with chemical dyes.
Japan blue is one of the beauties of Japan.
This kimono is for men, featuring an indigo-dyed vertical stripe pattern.
The outer fabric is woven with two types of indigo-dyed threads—light blue and navy blue—as warp threads, while the weft threads are navy blue.
The lining uses a deep navy fabric made from hand-spun yarn, offering an exceptionally soft feel against the skin.
A thin layer of cotton padding is inserted between the outer and lining fabrics, making it ideal for the current cold season.
It is crafted with great style, and the use of high-quality lining fabric reflects Japanese aesthetics.
