Authentic Kuna mola, handmade by Kuna women from Panama. This mola depicts an angel flanked by a jaguar and a human, a traditional design dating back to pre-Columbian times. The mola is made using the reverse appliqué technique, where pieces of fabric are cut away to reveal the underlying layers. The mola features fringe at the bottom, taken from the blouse to which it is traditionally attached. A unique piece of textile art!
