Fine Chinese porcelain tea caddy, made in Jingdezhen during the Qianlong (1736-1795). The vessel is decorated in mandarin palette with both underglaze blue and overglaze enamels. The decoration is arranged in two cartouches: one depicting a seated men and lady with an ox and a dog, the other depicting a lady with boys. The silver mounting is an early 20th century Dutch addition. Condition: good, apart from two clean, short and hardly visible hairline cracks (indicated in the photographs).
