Two fine Lobi figures, used on the ancestoral altars in households, during consultations with the ancestors. The largest figure has been sculpted with large ears and square eyes. Typical Lobi-stance with the arms alongside the body. Very nice brown patina. Height; 26 cm. and on a wooden socle. The smaller figure is more finely sculpted; a nice face and with slit-eyes. Arm alongside the body. Large ears. This figure has been less used. Dark patina. Height; 24 cm. Both objects have been collected in Burkina Faso in the 1990`s and are from a private Dutch collection.
