Four well-used wooden heddle-pullies from West-Africa. The pulley with the flute-like design is a newer item, carved in the typical Lobi design with the pointed arms. Small lines of decorations on the body. height; 20,5 cm. The pulley with the triangular head is also of Lobi-origin. Decorated with diagonal lines. Nice dark patina and wear marks. Height.; 15 cm. The pulley with the roller also comes from Burkina Faso. Symbolic head. height.; 15 cm. Very nice patina and wear marks, due to its long use. The smaller pulley in the light coloured wood comes from Mali and is of Dogon origin. Well-used with wear marks. Height; 16 cm. All items were collected in situ in the 1990`s and come from a private Dutch collection.
