Mount Fuji (富士山) - Hirosuke TASAKI (田崎広助,1898 —1984 ) - 日本 (沒有保留價)

Artwork Name: Mount Fuji (富士山) Artist: Hirosuke TASAKI (田崎広助,1898 —1984 ) Technique: Lithograph Authentication: Hand-signed and sealed by the artist in the margin of the print Edition: Limited edition, pencil-numbered 36/100 Paper Size: 50.5 × 57.7 cm (19.9 × 22.7 in) Image Size: 36.5 × 45 cm (14.4 × 17.7 in) Paper Material: Cotton Paper This magnificent lithograph themed around Mount Fuji (富士山) is a work by Hirosuke TASAKI (田崎広助), a representative creator in modern Japanese printmaking. He excels at depicting natural landscapes with vivid colors and flat-style compositions—this piece is a classic representative of his Mount Fuji-themed works, created the late 1960s to early 1970s. The focal point of the composition is the iconic Mount Fuji (富士山): the main body of the mountain is dominated by orange-red tones, while the lower half is rendered in deep dark green with fine textures, emphasizing a sense of solidity. The foreground features gradient gray-green hills, beneath which lies a deep blue lake; a yellow boat on the lake adds a touch of liveliness to the tranquil scenery. The background consists of layered patches of blue-purple and orange-yellow sky, outlined with yellow lines. The high-saturation colors paired with simplified forms create a striking contrast between the geometric color blocks of the background and the textured details of the foreground. The pencil-handwritten limited edition number "36/100" is marked at the bottom left of the print, and the artist’s pencil signature and seal are located at the bottom right. This print bears traces of previous framing. While minor oxidation is present on the paper due to age, the overall condition remains excellent. Note: Unframed print. Framed photos are for display reference only. Hirosuke Tasaki (田崎広助) Formerly named Hirotsugu Tasaki (田崎広次), Hirosuke Tasaki was a pivotal figure in 20th-century Japanese Western-style painting, known as "Tasaki’s Aso" for his iconic Mount Aso landscapes. A protégé of Hanjiro Sakamoto (坂本繁二郎) and graduate of Fukuoka Normal School (now Fukuoka University of Education), he debuted in 1926 with works like Path in the Forest (森の道) at the 13th Nikaten Exhibition (第 13 回二科展). He later worked in Paris, with pieces featured at the Salon d'Automne. Holding key roles including Japan Art Academy (日本芸術院) member and Nitten juror, he shaped postwar Japanese Western-style painting. His core themes spanned Mount Aso, Fuji, Asama and Sakurajima, with masterworks such as Early Summer at Mount Aso (初夏の阿蘇山). A 2004 stained glass adaptation of his Sakurajima (桜島) graces JR Kagoshima-Chūō Station as a public art landmark. Accolades include two Japan Art Academy Awards, the Order of the Sacred Treasure (1967), Brazilian cultural honors (1973) and Japan’s top Order of Culture (1975). - The picture is part of the description.
