A fully restored and functional ishô’dansu 衣装箪笥 (cabinet of drawers) in two sections. The cabinet is adorned with elaborate hand-forged iron large fan-shaped lock plates and fitted with high-quality, heavy handles. The upper section features two spacious, smooth-running drawers, while the lower part contains four drawers of varying sizes, all gliding smoothly. Crafted from indigenous kiri (paulownia) wood,   Both the upper and lower sections are equipped with four carry handles on each side for easy transport and to securely "lock" the upper part to the lower (see pictures). Period: Japan – Meiji period (1868-1912). Dimensions: Height 103 cm, Width 90 cm, Depth 44.3 cm. In a very good restored condition with minor signs conform age. No keys are included.
