The C-81 is a direct-drive turntable with virtually vibration-free operation. It is driven by an electronically controlled, brushless DC motor. Since there are no drive belts or idler wheels, vibration is almost nonexistent. Precise speed monitoring ensures wow and flutter, with a speed of less than 0.03%. The nominal speed can be monitored using the built-in stroboscope. The tonearm appears to be the original one, likely the one fitted to the C-89 at the time. The stylus is also high-quality and made by Grode. The unit has not been used for some time, as the wiring on the tonearm is damaged, as shown in the picture. Further adjustments, repairs, or rewiring may be necessary. The unit starts up immediately, and the speeds can be set and adjusted with the push of a button. The dust cover is original, in good condition, and screwed in place.
