Description
Set of five contemporary Japanese stoneware plates in the shape of fish, created by Japanese ceramic artist 寺本守.
These plates were produced in Kasama, a well-known ceramic region in Japan, and feature a warm, earthy glaze with natural variations created during the firing process. Each piece shows subtle differences in shape, glaze flow, and surface texture, reflecting the artist’s hand-crafted approach.
The fish motif is a traditional symbol in Japanese culture and is here interpreted in a modern, functional form suitable for tableware. The plates can be used for serving small dishes, appetizers, or desserts, and also function well as decorative objects.
All five plates are unused and come with the original box and artist’s information sheet.
