******Poison is the debut album by bell viv devoe, that is, ricky bell, michael biv* bivins and ronnie devoe from new edition. With this album the three musicians had the opportunity to do something different, something they really liked.. an incredible mix of hip hop and rap rhythms, adding an idea of rhythm and blues and pop! and the result in the blender-e in the studio is an explosive dance mix that has been a huge success all over the world! After about a decade of great successes in the most popular group of the 80s New edition the three talented young people are starting a new chapter in their career by signing with their own unique style. It is an opportunity to open people's eyes and show them what we can really do explains Bivins. For the 9 explosive tracks of poison, a multitude of renowned musicians collaborated with them. The first single of the album of the same name was produced by New York experts of new jack swing Doctor Freeze and Spider-Man with the help of the remaining Eric Sadler, Hank and Keith Shocklee (Public Enemy). BBD attack with two dynamic hip hop tracks Let Me Know Something and Aint Nothing Changed and turn to a hot funky dance sound with BBD I Thought It Was Me? Do to Me* is a sexy RnB track and in Ronnie Bobby, Ricky, Mike, Ralph, Johnny (World to the Mutha) the trio enlists all their old experience and the new fresh musical direction. Making his debut as the first singer in BBD, Ricky proves his great talent in slow songs! When I See You (Smile Again) and I Do Need You* were both produced by two rising stars of the genre, Timmy Gatlin (formerly of Guy) and Alton Wookie Stewart. The idea for a BBD album came to him from the super-productive Minneapolis duo Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis in the spring of 89. Bell, Bivins, Devoe, Ralph Tresvant and Body Brown were once the group New Edition, who had their first hit with Candy Girl. In the 80s, they had four platinum and gold albums. When Brown left in 87 to pursue a solo career, Johnny Gil replaced him and they recorded the platinum LP Heart Break together. Once again, as Bell, Biv Devoe, the three members of New Edition are writing their own story....
