A very impressive Islamic Ottoman/Bedouin style silver-metal ring. It presents an oval raised bezel with a black hardstone intaglio showing a scorpion. The intaglio decoration potentially served as a stamp or a seal, illustrating a protective symbol or the heraldry of the owner. The raised bezel is richly decorated on all sides and the band with twisted lines resembling foliage. Good solid condition, wearable. Signs of wear consistent with age and use.
