Like every year, when Ardbeg releases a special edition dedicated to the Ardbeg Committee (usually full-strength or at least high-strength), it shortly thereafter releases a lower-strength but still limited-strength version. This was also the case in 2020 with the controversial Blaaack, the bottle with the mouflon logo released in late 2019. This version was released in February of the following year at a lower price (but still significant) and just a tad more readily available. The same undeclared aging, the same barrels used, including the maturation in New Zealand wine (hence the mouflon logo), but just over four percent less: will it make a difference?
