红星勋章是苏联最著名、授奖范围最广的荣誉之一，1930年设立。它被授予军人、国家安全官员以及军事单位和组织，表彰他们在保卫苏联的贡献、勇敢无畏，以及在战时与和平时期的战斗和行动训练中的成就。该勋章为银质五角星，镶嵌红宝石珐琅，中心有一名红军战士的形象，刻有“全世界的工人，联合起来！”两道光芒通过热珐琅处理而得以完美还原。A red star was awarded to Vasily Grigorievich Virazub, a telephone operator, in battles with the Nazi invaders. Comrade Verazub proved himself a courageous and brave fighter in the battle for Gomel on March 7, 1945. While serving as a division commander under heavy artillery fire, Verazub ensured uninterrupted communication with the division headquarters and firing positions using his radio.
