Neoclassical decorative sculpture depicting Venus (Aphrodite), inspired by classical Greek antiquity. This piece was produced in a Greek workshop during the 20th century and is marked on the reverse “MADE IN GREECE”, with a Greek inscription on the base referring to Aphrodite.
The sculpture is made of plaster with an alabaster-style finish, giving it an ivory-toned appearance. Such sculptures were commonly produced in Greece for the European art and Grand Tour market and are appreciated today as decorative and collectible objects.
