青銅器時代 青銅色 仪式别针
A fine Bronze Age bronze pin with a sculptural head. The head is formed from a rectangular wedge-shaped body engraved with two vertical rows of chevron patterns, with a round bosses adjoined to either side. The circles have repousse dot embellishments around the perimeter. From the head, a thin and long pin tapers into a point. Some earthy encrustations and patination to the surface. There are minor chips and cracks around the edges of the pinhead, particularly around the the circles.
In ancient times a number of nomadic populations, such as the Medes and the Kassites, settled in the Western Asiatic area. Due to the nomadic nature of the tribes, none of the bronzes were of great size, since it was required for them to be light and portable. Excavated items often included weapons, tools, and finials, as well as small amulets and fittings. Everyday objects are also found including pins and bracelets. Their artwork mainly comprises ornaments, vessels and weapons. Archaeological evidence suggests that the bronze objects often serve ceremonial functions given their funerary contexts.
