Ibibio zoomorphic mask (Nigeria, Cross River region).
Carved wood mask with an animalistic / elongated snout-like form, original wear and strong age patina. Traces of white and red pigments remain on the surface. Multiple side perforations suggest it was originally attached to a costume or headdress. A striking, expressive piece with a raw, tribal character.
Condition: age-related wear, pigment loss, small cracks and surface abrasions consistent with use and age.
