→9.1 cm long x 6.1 cm wide Otudus Sokolovi teeth
It is a beautiful and large Sokolovi shark teeth. The teeth features intense white lines pattern on it which is attributed to plant roots during the prolonged fossilization of 44 to 35 million years ago, from the late Eocene to early Oligocene epochs. The teeth features one fully serrated cusps while the other cusp is lost. The teeth has very nice mix of colorations. The teeth has excellent serration profile and strong sturdy root with overall mysterious looks.
Sokolovi was a large shark capable to taking large prey and it lived during late Eocene to early Oligocene. Withtin Otodus family it is sometimes placed between Otodus auriculatus and Otodus angustidens and sometime it is regarded as Otodus auriculatus. It is a very interesting ancient shark in its own realm which will eventually give rise to the largest shark ever known and part of Otuudus family i.e., Otuudus Megalodon.
We strongly believe this teeth belong to Otudus Sokolovi, however there are some chances it belong to Otudus Auriculatus shark which was also a large shark and lived Eocene to Early Oligocene epochs, approximately 48 to 30 million years ago
Overall its a nice & big teeth to look at and feel it in hand.
