A 19th century Chinese painting on canvas. Decorated with a serene scene of daily life. Two woman in a garden. One is reading and the other seems to be a servant. The painting original on canvas has some wear and damage and was places on Chinese paper a long time ago. The paper is brittle but supports the canvas well. Marked (unknown for me) in red and black characters. Despite the heavy life of the object it still a great looking piece with character. Provenance: Heritage auctions Europe / private collection.
