Founded in 1900 (Meiji 33 / 明治33年), Shobido is a long-established and highly respected maker of fine silverware, metalwork, and luxury decorative arts. The firm is particularly renowned for producing presentation works and commissioned pieces for the Imperial Household（皇室献上品）, as well as for major Japanese corporations, earning an exceptional reputation for refinement and technical excellence. Set Contents: • Water Dropper (Suiteki / 水滴): An elegantly proportioned white-metal vessel with a polished surface and a refined minimalist form. • Inkstone (Suzuri / 硯): A deep black stone accented with a gold-colored rim, lending a subtle yet dignified sense of luxury. • Ink Rest (Bokushō / 墨床): A classic accessory completing the traditional Japanese writing ensemble. The interior of the box is lined with a vibrant coral-red textile, adorned with auspicious Sayagata（紗綾形） patterns and “Shō / 壽（長寿）” motifs, symbolizing prosperity and longevity. The underside of the box bears a gilt inscription for Mitsui Life Insurance Company（三井生命保険）, commemorating the company’s 25th anniversary in 1952（昭和27年）.
