Alvaro Palacios L’Ermita 2020 – Priorat, Spain L’Ermita 2020 is the iconic flagship wine from Álvaro Palacios, made in the DOQ Priorat from tiny yields in an exceptional vintage. The wine is grown on steep slate (“llicorella”) soils in Gratallops and crafted from a blend dominated by 92% Garnacha, with small amounts of Cariñena and tiny percentages of white varieties (Garnacha Blanca, Macabeo, Pedro Ximénez). The 2020 vintage produced only about 1,441 bottles, making it extremely limited and collectible.  In the glass, L’Ermita 2020 shows intense dark cherry colour with depth and vibrancy. The nose reveals complex aromas of ripe dark fruit, crushed blueberries, violets, wild flowers, fine spice and mineral notes reflecting the unique slate terroir. The palate is rich and composed, powerful yet elegant, with ultra-fine tannins, vibrant acidity and an endlessly lingering finish that underscores its balance and ageing potential.
