拐杖 - .925 銀 - 爱德华时代,1924年
An Edwardian walking stick with a solid silver handle, fully hallmarked for Birmingham, 1924.
The handle is of traditional pommel form and finely hand engraved with foliate scrollwork, executed in the restrained, flowing manner characteristic of the Edwardian period. The engraving remains crisp and well defined, the surface mellowed by a natural patina acquired over time.
Mounted on a slender, gently curved dark hardwood shaft of pleasing proportion, the cane has an elegant and understated presence typical of well-made British examples of the early twentieth century. The overall balance and weight remains comfortable in the hand.
The silver retains clear hallmarks. Condition is good and consistent with age, with light surface wear, minor scratches and a few shallow dents from careful use, together with a minute hairline surface split to the silver, barely visible and commensurate with age. The shaft shows gentle signs of handling. Structurally sound and stable.
A refined and authentic example of British silver-mounted walking stick craftsmanship, valued both as a functional object and as a collectable piece of period design.
