Very uncommon specimen for the locality featuring a plate of large yellow gemmy fluorite cubes with a dusting of tiny submillimetric pyrite cubes. The large size of these crystals is what really sets this specimen apart from other similar pieces this mine has produced, wich tend to only feature crystals up to a cm in size. This piece comes from one of the two currently operating fluorite mines in Spain, the Villabona mine, a room and pillar installation that spreads over 10s of km under the Solís region. Pristine floating specimens like this one are not common unfortunately due to the use of explosives in the mining process, but sometimes miners get lucky and a cavity is not minced into rubble.
