古代近东与利凡特传统 避邪护身符、偶像、护符 (沒有保留價)
A rare and characterful ancient bronze pendant amulet in stylised idol form, dating to the Late Bronze Age–Early Iron Age period (ca. 800–300 BCE) and attributable to the Ancient Near Eastern / Eastern Mediterranean tradition based on typology and form.
The amulet is cast in copper alloy and shaped as an elongated spatulate figure with a rounded upper section pierced by a circular suspension hole. This opening forms the visual “head” of the figure and may symbolically function as an apotropaic eye motif, a widely attested protective symbol across Near Eastern cultures. The body tapers and widens toward the base and is decorated with simple incised horizontal bands. The lower edge shows a series of radiating cut marks, adding a sunburst / energy motif often associated with protection and vitality.
Such pendants were worn as personal talismans, believed to guard the wearer against harm and negative influences. The minimalist but powerful design places emphasis on symbolic function rather than ornament.
The surface shows a deep, dark patina with areas of mineral encrustation and oxidation consistent with age. Wear marks and surface irregularities are in line with long-term burial and historic use. Suspension hole intact.
