Petrus Regout & Co. - 櫥櫃 - 瓷器, 木
Antique spice and kitchen cabinet made by the Maastricht company Sphinx around the 1930s.
These decorative storage units were found in almost every Dutch household in the mid-20th century. They typically have a wooden frame and labeled ceramic drawers in which the most important kitchen ingredients were stored.
Key features
Material: A combination of hardwood (such as beech) and ceramic or porcelain drawers.
Design: Includes a built-in clock in the central part, as well as separate compartments for various ingredients.
Drawer inscriptions: The piece shown in the picture has inscriptions such as Suiker (sugar), Meel (flour), Vermicelli, Koffie (coffee), Thee (tea) and Sago.Eggs can be stored in the openable cabinet behind the clock, designed with holes.
It is in absolutely good condition, with a couple of small signs of use. There is a very small chip on one of the ceramics, you can see the photo. It is actually barely noticeable. They stored some liquid substance on the top right that spilled out, it is not visible, only from the back. It has been completely cleaned, it is in absolutely clean condition.
Unfortunately, the clock no longer works.
We can post it carefully packaged, in an insured, registered package.
