Ca. AD 900 - 1200. An Islamic Seljuk bronze lampstand with floral decoration on the body. The tripod has an adorned foot, and there is a typical late Islamic lamp on the top, most likely from Iran. For similar see: Benaki Museum, guide of the collection n. 157. Size: 630mm × 195mm; Weight: 2.7kg Provenance: Property of an Oxfordshire art professional; previously in an old Canadian collection formed in the 1980s. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
