青銅色 - 一个大型青铜置物,描绘日本神 Daikokuten 大黒天,手持他的大木槌。 - 大正时期(约1920年)

A large bronze okimono depicting Daikokuten 大黒天, one of the Seven Gods of Fortune, shown standing on bales of rice bound with bamboo and ropes, symbols of prosperity and abundance. In his right hand he raises the traditional mallet (uchide no kozuchi), while with his left he holds the large sack containing riches and gifts. The figure is rendered with careful attention to the volumes of the body, the smiling facial expression, and the finely detailed garments. The surface displays an even dark patina. Incised signature on the reverse of the sack. Okimono (置物), combining the kanji "oki" (置き, to place) and "mono" (物, object), refers to a decorative object meant for display. Okimono, popular in the Meiji period (1868 - 1912), were finely crafted sculptures made from materials such as ivory, boxwood, wood, and bronze. ---The okimono is in very good condition. There are slight signs of wear consistent with the period. Please refer to the pictures for further details. ---The item will be carefully packed and shipped via DHL express or FedEx. The original certificate of authenticity issued by our gallery will be provided to the buyer. 684
