The slim bottle (66cl) of Suntory Royal Blended Whiskey, launched in 1960 to mark the company's 60th anniversary. It was crafted by Suntory's first Master Blender, the legendary Shinjiro Toriii. It is a blend of Hibiki, Yamazaki and Hakushu, making it an incredibly elegant and smooth whiskey. Aroma: Due to its dark color it has a strong aroma of butter and vanilla. Taste: On the palate it has a light woody taste that is not reminiscent of oak but rather of cedar wood. Finish: Light and long finish. You can still slightly feel the alcohol on your tongue. Suntory have been producing fantastic Japanese whisky since the 1920s, although the company was founded before that. In celebration of their 60th anniversary, they created the Suntory Royal blended whisky in 1960.
