A large, deep oval (or slightly octagonal) serving dish, often referred to in auction contexts as a "meat platter" or "steak dish". It features classic underglaze blue decoration on a white ground. The wide, shaped rim is adorned with a dense floral and foliate border, characteristic of export wares intended for the European and American markets. The inner wall contains a delicate repeating geometric or floral band that frames the plain well of the dish. Approximately 42 cm in length, making it a substantial and impressive piece for display or a collection.
