The group represents three distinct Roman brooch types, illustrating the diversity of Roman personal dress fasteners. The group comprises: 1. Headstud Brooch ○ Date: c. 75–175 AD ○ Cast copper-alloy example, incomplete, with short wings and a raised circular head stud ○ Length: approx. 32.17 mm ○ PAS ID: DUR-FF4666 2. Hod Hill Type III Brooch ○ Date: c. 43–70 AD ○ Cast copper-alloy hinged brooch with cylindrical bar enclosure and rectangular upper bow ○ Length: approx. 62.57 mm ○ PAS ID: DUR-FF3123 3. Trumpet Brooch ○ Date: c. 75–175 AD ○ Cast copper-alloy trumpet brooch with moulded knee and decorative banding ○ Length: approx. 52.73 mm ○ PAS ID: DUR-FF2AA0 All three brooches are incomplete, with pins missing, as is typical for excavated Roman fibulae. Each displays an attractive, stable green to brown patina, consistent with long burial and age. Surface wear and minor distortions are present but do not detract from their archaeological integrity.
