A Japanese signed folding screen (Byobu) in 4 panels from the 20th Century in style Showa, painted and signed on golden background on fabric. It represents Lady Murasaki, the Japanese novelist author of "The Tale of Genji", poet at the imperial court during the Heian period. Dimensions 60 x 115 cm., weight 1,3 kg. It's an artistic item and it's framed in wood painted matte black and reinforced on the back with a thick fabric. An old label with some japanese letters is on one of the external sides, visible once closed and in one of the pictures. Excellent overall conditions except very slight traces of age and an external and internal wooden corner with the black painting slightly consumed as visible in the pictures, that are to be considered part of this description.
