A fine collection of non-glass beads from West-Africa. Two ropes contain reddish stone laterite beads; one rope with disc-like beads and one rope with more tubular , large beads. They are from Ghana. Nice patina on these beads. Dim.; 7 x 13 mm apprx. and 16 x 30/40 mm. The beautiful reddish agate beads also come from Ghana or Nigeria. (26 pieces). Dim.; 17-27 mm long. The white/black bone beads come from Kenia and are made of bone. Dim. apprx. 7 x 20 mm. Finally the black disc-beads are made of coconut-shell. They are from Ghana as well. Dim.; 3 x 14 mm. Relatively rare to find nowadays. All strings were collected in their country of origin in the late 1990`s. In all; a nice collection for an interested bead collector!.
