Ppresented here is a beautiful example of Dogon art of weaving; locally produced cotton and dyed with natural indigo. The Dogon-people ar well-known for their indigo cloth and wrap-arounds. After dying, small dots are bleached-out of the indigo. When done in rythmic patterns his gives a very decorative look to one`s wrap-around. 110 x 158 cm in Dim. Collected in Mali in the early 2000`s.
