A fine collection of Oromo-jewelry from the North of Ethiopia. Presented here is a string of a few dozen of lowgrade silver buttons, used to decorate headbands for women. Also a anklet, made of metal beads is shown here. In this serie also a small anklet of copper beads is presented. Finally a smaller string of decorated disc-like buttons is presented here. Made of a better quality low-grade silver. Also of Oromo-origin are the two elongated fingerrings with a decorated top. L. 32 mm. Finally three tubular neck-rings are presented; made of low-grade silver and worn by the Amhara-people of the Lalibela-region. L.22-32-48 mm. All items collected in Ethiopia in the late 1990`s.
