Antique Late Qing Chinese cloisonné enamel dragon plaque, c.1870, 20 cm diameter. Description Dark and turquoise ground with dynamic yellow five-clawed imperial dragon in blues, reds, and green amid clouds and flaming pearls; fine wire work and subtle colour tone distinguish it from contemporary, overly vibrant fakes. Reverse with geometric enamels and apocryphal Ming mark. ​ Condition Attractive patina with normal age wear, enamels overall in good conditions; from a Paris collection, bought at a Paris auction.
