一幅以金丝绸制成的六扇屏风,描绘河畔岩石上的蓝色喜鹊。 - 紙, 木, 絲 - 日本 - 大正时期(约1920年)
A six-panel byōbu (folding screen) in gilt silk depicting two blue magpies perched on protruding rocks along the bank of a river, with softly fading mountain profiles on the horizon.
Attributed to Katō Eishū (1873–1939).
The screen is finished with a lacquered wooden frame.
The screen can also be easily mounted on a wall or used as a room divider.
Byōbu (屏風), literally “wind protection screens,” are traditional Japanese folding screens originally created to divide spaces and today appreciated above all as striking wall-mounted paintings.
---The byobu is in good condition, with wear to the silk, stains and retouching to the gilding. Signs of use to the lacquered frame, consistent with age. Please refer to the pictures for further details.
The item will be carefully packed and shipped accompanied by the original certificate of authenticity issued by Mastromauro Japanese art gallery based in Milan, Italy.
