Keizan Kiln - Chawan (5) - 陶器 - 5件美浓烧茶碗
This is a beautiful set of five Guinomi (sake cups) from the renowned Keizan Kiln (桂山窯), showcasing the rich diversity of traditional Mino-yaki pottery. Each cup represents a classic glazing style that has defined Japanese tea and sake culture for centuries.
The set includes:
Shino (志野): Features a thick, milky-white glaze with the characteristic "Yuzu-hada" (citrus skin texture) and delicate "Kannyu" (crackle patterns).
Oribe (織部): A striking, deep green copper-glaze, famous for its bold and artistic presence.
Ki-Seto (黄瀬戸): A warm yellow glaze with a matte, "Abura-age" (fried tofu) like texture, highly prized by collectors.
Seto-guro (瀬戸黒): Also known as "Hikidashi-guro" (pulled-out black), it features a deep, jet-black finish achieved by removing the piece from the kiln while still red-hot.
Tenmoku / Ash Glaze (天目/灰釉): A dark, sophisticated brownish-black glaze rich in iron, offering a timeless aesthetic.
These cups are perfect for experiencing the different textures and "sceneries" of Japanese ceramics while enjoying premium sake. They come in their original wooden presentation box (Tomobako), which bears the kiln's signature and seal.
