Tasting Notes – Giodo 2015 Brunello di Montalcino A beautifully expressive and highly regarded 2015 Brunello di Montalcino from Podere Giodo. Deep, clear ruby with an aromatic nose showing ripe cherries and goji-like red fruit, hints of plum cake and floral complexity. On the palate it’s juicy and energetic, with fresh cherry-dominant fruit, lively acidity, and finely meshed tannins that give structure without heaviness. Layered notes of wild berries, blue flowers, camphor and gentle spice evolve into an elegant finish with lingering fruit and purity typical of top Brunello from this vintage. This wine is both approachable now with decanting and has excellent aging potential.
